1. Overview
Hoanio Studio (“we”, “us”) makes Android apps published on Google Play under the developer name Hoanio Studio, formerly AppLife Team.
This policy applies to all of our apps and to our websites hoanio.com and easy.hoanio.com. Some apps have their own policy with extra detail — for example, the Big Font privacy policy. If an app's own policy says something more specific, that policy applies to that app.
2. What we don't collect
- No accounts. None of our apps ask you to sign up or give us your name, email address or phone number.
- Your content stays on your phone. Text you type into our text and font apps is processed on your device. We don't receive it.
- Camera images stay on your phone. Face Mirror shows a live camera preview on your screen. It does not record, save or upload what the camera sees.
- We don't sell personal information, and we don't build profiles about you.
3. Services in our apps
To show ads, fix crashes and understand which features are used, our apps include services from Google. These services may collect some information from your device automatically, as described below.
| Service | Why we use it | Information it may collect |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Shows the ads that keep our apps free | Advertising ID, approximate location (from IP address), app interactions, device and diagnostic information |
| Google Analytics for Firebase | Tells us which features are used, so we know what to improve | App interactions, app instance ID, device model and Android version |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Sends a report when an app crashes, so we can fix it | Crash logs, device model, Android version, app version |
| Google Play Services and Google Play Billing | Core Android features and optional in-app purchases | Purchase status. Payment details are handled by Google; we never see your card information. |
Not every app uses every service. The Data safety section of each app's Google Play page lists exactly what that app collects. Google's handling of this information is described in the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from apps that use its services.
4. How information is used
- To show ads, including personalised ads where you allow them.
- To find and fix crashes and bugs.
- To understand, in aggregate, which features people use, so we can make the apps better.
- To check whether you have bought an in-app purchase, such as removing ads.
We look at analytics and crash reports as statistics. We do not try to identify individual people from them.
5. Permissions
Apps ask only for the permissions their features need, and Android lets you review or turn off permissions at any time in Settings → Apps. Some examples:
- Big Font uses “Modify system settings” to change your phone's font size. Its optional tools ask for more only when you open them: Accessibility for Read screen, the camera for Magnifier and Read paper, phone calls for Call family, and alarms for medicine reminders. Details are in the Big Font privacy policy.
- Face Mirror uses the camera to show your reflection on screen.
- Vibration App uses the vibration motor to play patterns.
- Most apps use internet access to load ads and send crash reports.
6. Advertising choices
You can limit personalised ads or reset your advertising ID at any time:
- On Android 12 and later: Settings → Privacy → Ads (on some phones, Settings → Google → Ads), then choose Delete advertising ID.
- On older versions: Settings → Google → Ads, then Reset advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalisation.
Where an app offers it, an in-app purchase removes ads completely.
7. Children
Our apps are made for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through one of our apps, contact us and we will help remove it.
8. Retention and deletion
We do not run our own servers that store personal information about you. Information collected by Google services is kept according to Google's retention settings — for example, Google Analytics data for our apps is kept for a limited period and then deleted automatically.
To ask us to delete analytics data linked to your device, email [email protected] with the app name. You can also delete your advertising ID as described above, and uninstalling an app stops all further collection by that app.
9. Security
The Google services in our apps send information over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we choose well-established services and keep our apps up to date.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For important changes, we'll also mention it in the app's release notes on Google Play.
